THE STORY

Even though we may not realize it, food has the power to transport us to a different place and spark our memory. We are reminded of meals we shared with special people, a favourite food from our childhood or a memorable flavour that made us think “wow!”. Here at The Cheese District we want to not only share with you the flavours that made us say “wow!”  but also help you discover new favourites of your own.  To share a decadent chocolate with that special person, to finish a salad with a gorgeous olive oil or try a beautiful cheese you may have never had before. We want to help you make some great memories with great food.​

The Cheese District is inspired by our love of good food, our love of travel and our love of good cheese. Our mission is to bring to our community the best quality cheeses and fine foods that the world has to offer. We believe that everyone deserves the best quality without having to travel far to find it. We offer a carefully curated selection of cheeses and cured meats from Canada and Europe, and a wide variety of only the finest high quality food items we can source. You will also find everything from olive oils, balsamic vinegars, pasta, coffee, tea to biscuits, jams, chocolates, nuts, spices and mustards. We are here to help you create the perfect charcuterie board and find your new favourite cheese!

Our takeout menu features a selection of gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches made in house and always accompanied by one of our signature sauces. We also offer a soup of the day and a variety of cold beverages or if you are looking for a caffeine fix then try a cup of our coffee (from Epoch Chemistry!) or tea from Camellia Sinensis!
